Description

This introductory workshop is designed for those who are new to teaching, or those teachers who are new to the University of Adelaide.

The focus of this workshop, which forms part of a larger module, is centred around student-centred learning environments, active learning, feedback, assessment and interactive presentation strategies (for small and large classes). It will also enable you to begin the development of your teaching philosophy through reflective practice.

It will also serve as an introduction to the University of Adelaide's learning and teaching initiatives and more importantly give you some new ideas and skills to use in your classes to effectively engage your students.

There will be a short pre-workshop activity which will be sent to you to complete a few days before the workshop workshop so please complete your registration of attendance by Friday June 21st 5.00pm.

The workshop is open to all NEW academic staff, sessional staff and tutors.
